What is the projected opening timeline?

From the date of site approval, we estimate a 3 to 5 month target date to opening your doors. There are many moving parts and through another founding principle of Momma Goldberg’s, we’ll get through it with teamwork. The short version is the build-out can take anywhere from 3 to 5 months. During this time, you can begin hiring and training. This can take between 2 to 3 months.

What kind of training and support is offered?

Franchisees and managers will attend Momma Goldberg’s three-week training program, MGU. MGU is deli boot camp. You will learn the business from top to bottom. This includes everything from operations to customer service to staff training to food prep. Upon graduating, you will be presented with your deli degree.

We will also provide a team of trainers to assist with the opening. Prior to your soft opening, our team members will provide daily lessons on sandwich making, customer service, food safety and proper cleaning procedures. We will be on-hand for the Family and Friends Night and several days after opening to the general public.

Ongoing support is provided throughout the life of your store through regular in-store visits; point of purchase material; other marketing material; and staff training.
